ACOA/MSTEM Thrive Program Summer Research Intensive Closing Ceremony
We recently celebrated the completion of our Summer Research Intensive for students in the ACOA/MSTEM Thrive Program. This program is funded by an R25 grant from the National Institute on Aging, and its goal is simple but vital: grow a more diverse generation of scientists researching aging. These students are already leading that work.
At a Closing Ceremony with the Frontera program, students were honored and recognized for their growth throughout the program. Students also attended the UROC poster session, where they presented original research to peers, faculty, and the broader UA community — putting their training into practice and sharing new insights on the health and well-being of older adults in diverse communities.
Congratulations to all our Thrive Scholars — we're proud of what you've accomplished and excited to see where your research takes you next!
